The Hellenic Association of Anonymous Basketball Societies, known mainly by the abbreviation E.S.A.K.E. and as H.E.B.A. internationally, it is an organizing authority in the field of Greek basketball.
ESAKE is one of the founding members of the Union of European Professional Basketball Associations, better known as ULEB.
We had to update H.E.B.A. infrastructure to the most recent Norder technology and modernize its online presence.
The task was to bring over a contemporary digital space that reflects the identity of Greek Basketball by strategically redesigning and technologically implementing the website and fundamentally reinventing the H.E.B.A. experience.
The information that was to be presented and by extension the structure of the website, is really very large. From a technical point of view, the infrastructure existed from our initial collaboration with ESAKE, but it needed to be upgraded to the latest technologies. UX was the real challenge.
We used a data-driven, UX-focused Design Thinking methodology while working in agile teams and closely with the ESAKE team. This methodology was built upon a strong, secure, and high-performing infrastructure.
We rose to the occasion and completely redesigned the website’s user interface. By reshaping the user journey across all pages, we unified the experience such that it was incredibly simple to navigate and quickly access any information that might be available.
To dispel any uncertainties as soon as possible, we were asked to provide extremely thorough wireframes for desktop and mobile devices.
The interactive click dummies used to test the navigation concept proved to be fairly difficult. This was due to the vast amount of content that at this stage ought to have been carefully organized.
