Wellpet is an online store, selling Cold pressed pet food, which is one of the most premium foods a pet can have. They had already been operating as an online store for 2 years at the time they approached us.

Task

The owners of Wellpet.gr were feeling that their online presence didn't reflect the quality of their products, so the purpose of the project was to create a new website that would highlight the quality of the products, while at the same time being friendly and accessible to the user. The site needed to be multilingual and optimised for search/localisation performance.

01. Challenges

The high bounce rate and consistent back-and-forth between the home page and about page suggests that visitors were missing something important.

As is the challenge with any new or unique product, it can be difficult to communicate its values. How do you convince audiences it’s actually worth trying it?

To effectively deliver Wellpet’s value proposition, we would need to better understand the benefits of cold pressed food and align our messaging with those benefits. From there, we would need to structure the site to nurture sales and inform users appropriate.

02. Solutions

Research

As with any project, competitive research is essential. In Greece, I would say that there are not many similar companies, but mostly pet food stores. The solution was to focus the research on websites outside of Greece and always in combination with the fact that Wellpet is mainly addressed to a Greek audience, the necessary information was obtained for the continuation of the project.

Completion of the Branding

Until the moment of our cooperation with Wellpet, the only element of their corporate identity was probably the logo. It was a good start, but after consultation with the owners of Wellpet, we agreed that we needed elements that would tie in with the logo and complete the whole corporate identity.

UI Design

Having created all the necessary elements to complete the corporate identity, I had to design something that would give the image of an online store and at the same time a website with information about the specific object.

The whole process was divided into stages, starting with the creation of sketches for each page, before moving on to wireframing and the final design.

It was the details that made the difference, such as food meters for each type of dog.
